Have an idea for a cultural program or event in Medford? We have grant money to help make it happen!

The Medford Arts Council is seeking applications for grant funds to be used for projects taking place in 2017. Applications will be accepted from September 1 through October 17.

A new online application system managed by the Massachusetts Cultural Council will make it easier for everyone to apply. For more information please visit:

The Medford Arts Council offers reimbursement grants to individuals and organizations throughout the region seeking to engage the Medford public. Each year we fund public activities in the areas of the humanities, arts, and interpretive sciences, including concerts, exhibits, public art, festivals, performances, classes, and school field trips.

This year, we have introduced four new local priorities to help us attract proposals in particular areas. We will continue to fund proposals in a wide range of disciplines but are especially interested in your ideas for:

  • Public art
  • Projects to enhance the public experience in our neighborhood squares
  • Partnerships and collaborations of many kinds—cross-sector, multidisciplinary, public-privates, etc.
  • The humanities and interpretive sciences.

Consult our website for details about Medford’s local priorities and guidelines.
